Do I really hear what I’m hearing?
You’re mouthing goodbye ‘coz you’re taken for granted.
Revoking all my fault that incite my conscience,
And I was left crying ‘coz you still don’t know…
You have showed your love, and I only show care.
You mean your promises, but I broke mine.
You always do your part, and I sometimes do mine.
You have set romantic dates, but I always forget.
I have said most “sorry”, and least “I love you”
You miss me a lot, but I kept away.
I have let you worry that I really don’t mind.
You reminisce every single date that I refuse to hear.
…Everything you have done, I value secretly.
When it matters to you, so much to me.
I remain loyal even though it’s not obvious.
I’m no longer an ingénue because of you.
In real state, both of us made mistakes,
You’ve exerted so much effort, you thought I don’t appreciate.
I’ve been a dolt in our relationship,
But still, you endure your feelings for me.
Can you please stay and let me take over in this relationship?
‘Coz now I realize how much you mean to me.
“45 The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.”
– Luke 6:45
Whatever is in your heart, it will always come out in your life. The things that we learn and put in our heart are the things that will define our personality. Most of the time, it is our heart working in our lives. Our heart carries all the emotions and our mouth confesses it. We should guard our heart from unnecessary things so it won’t affect our tongue. For our tongue holds on to what our heart and mind contains. A good man brings good things out of the good things store in his heart. So, whatever we see, hear and experience… we should choose the right thing to be treasured in our heart.
“47 I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. 48 He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.”
– Luke 6:47-48
The Bible tells us all – everything that we need to know and learn, from the beginning up to the end. It covers the whole thing about life. Whenever we hear (read) something from it, we should consider and take it into practice, because it is a commandment from the Lord. It is our guide in living a life close to Him. We should put the Words of our God in our heart, mind and soul and stick to it so we will never be shaken. His Word is the foundation of our faith within.
“Keep on loving each other as brothers. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.”
– Hebrews 13:1-2
We must spread the love all over the world. This is not just about sharing knowledge but caring on one another. Let’s start the love to the ones we’re closed to – our family, friends, classmates, and co-workers. We must show them our support. We must let them know that we’re happy for what they have achieved in their lives. For when a person knows that someone is looking forward to him/her, he/she is being motivated then he/she would probably persevere more and more.
In life, we must treat all the other people around us equally. We must not underestimate someone or overestimate them. We should consider them the way we want to be considered. In that case, we are portraying equality, no discrimination and no domination. It is better if we treat everyone as our brothers and sisters, and love them just like our own blood generation.
Therefore, we must entertain strangers, for by doing so; they will be blessed because an angel of the Lord came to share with them the blessings we had just received. And yes! We’re all angels of God, sent in disguise but with a purpose. We should touch their hearts to inspire them, to make their life fruitful and alive in Christ. Because through us, the goodness of the Lord is reflecting on our own manner of life.
And so sometimes, we should learn on how to cope up with their environment, not necessarily to imitate them fully. But we must let them feel or see that he/she is not alone, that we belong together in Christ Jesus. We must humble ourselves to let them feel that they are in the right place and the right company, that we share a lot of common things in the leading of God’s will. Also, we are able to build a relationship that is full of understanding, that will help us explain what the Lord commands us to do, and that would help us to improve our ability to interact.
“And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.”
– 2 John 1:6
Love is the greatest command of the Father. There are a lot of things that we can do if we love. Just as if we love someone, we do everything for that someone. And we should be like this to our God, the One who showed the greatest love of all.
We always say that “We love God,” but our actions doesn’t show it. We love God, so we should obey His commands. Walking in obedience to His commands is walking in love. We have heard this from the very beginning. So let’s show our love to God by doing everything that pleases Him.
Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God. But whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. Let’s continue to submit and to obey to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
It’s Friday night and there’s a fireworks display at SM Mall of Asia. I find it refreshing to look above and enjoy the colorful illuminations in the sky. It’s a great help to lessen my stress, physically and emotionally – the stress that I have acquired for the week. Also, it is a time for relaxation and unwind from my not-so-perfect life.
To complete this date with myself, I ordered the Starbucks’ Java Chip Frappuccino and McDonald’s Cheese Burger & French Fries.
The coffee compliments my idea of a peaceful night – renewal of my mind, heart and soul. And the burger satisfies my yearning for something salty and tasty, the fries gives me the time to observe the crowd around me. Do not be surprised! Every food has something to reflect on you. ^.^
♡ I enjoy eating even when I’m alone for that’s the time I am able to discover things along with my existence ♡
My final say: It’s not forbidden to take risks on trying things on your own.
