Heart: Our Life Storage

45 The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.”

– Luke 6:45

Whatever is in your heart, it will always come out in your life.  The things that we learn and put in our heart are the things that will define our personality.  Most of the time, it is our heart working in our lives.  Our heart carries all the emotions and our mouth confesses it.  We should guard our heart from unnecessary things so it won’t affect our tongue.  For our tongue holds on to what our heart and mind contains.  A good man brings good things out of the good things store in his heart.  So, whatever we see, hear and experience… we should choose the right thing to be treasured in our heart.

47 I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. 48 He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.”

– Luke 6:47-48

The Bible tells us all – everything that we need to know and learn, from the beginning up to the end.  It covers the whole thing about life.  Whenever we hear (read) something from it, we should consider and take it into practice, because it is a commandment from the Lord.  It is our guide in living a life close to Him.  We should put the Words of our God in our heart, mind and soul and stick to it so we will never be shaken.  His Word is the foundation of our faith within.

  1. True, everything that we read in the bible, we should practice it. And if we wanted to talk to Him or know more about what His will is, it is all accessible in the bible.
